DON’T BREAK YOUR CONSECRATION

Memory Verse: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 28:2

Devotional Reading: Deuteronomy 28: 1 – 14

Couple of days ago, I shared with us the importance of living to please God. I explained that God want us to live a life that is pleasing to him, one way we can do that is by living a life of consecration. Today we will look at the topic “Don’t Break Your Consecration”

When a person is consecrated he/she enjoys some benefits. One of the benefits is overflowing blessings Exodus. 32:29.
2; Overflowing anointing, you will become a chosen vessel of God, 2 Timothy 2:21. 3; the presence of God will always abide with you.4; Outstanding victory without a fight, you become a victor in a battle you did not fight; 5; According to Proverbs.16:7 all your enemies will be at peace with you, isnt that amazing? Yes it is.

As much as there is great joy and blessings attached to Consecration, it can be broken and can also be mended. Samson’s consecration was broken by his disobedience and lust for strange women. Judges 14:1-3. Miriam who was a prophetess broke her consecration through envy. Numbers 12:1-10. Moses too had his consecration broken through anger. How about Gideon who was set apart for Gods mighty work for deliverance, he had his consecration broken through pride. The man David broke his consecration many times but he didnt allow that to break him completely, he mended it by going back to God in repentance. In Psalms 51:12 David cried out to God restore to me the joy of thy salvation and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Maybe you too have had your consecration broken, I dont know how yours was broken may be through fornication, lying, stealing, immorality etc God is still interested in your well being, He is not interested in the death of a sinner, but for a sinner to repent and be saved, all you need do is cry out to God for mercy the way David did and I can assure you that God will hear your cry and restore you back through his only begotten son Jesus Christ.

God is calling you and I to live a consecrated life unto Him and be a peculiar person, a royal priesthood. He is waiting to see you exhibit a life of consecration unto Him, be committed to God in your consecration so that He can be pleased with you, don’t break your consecration, make it living sacrifice unto God.

May the LORD help you live a consecrated life unto Him. You will not be a disappointment to God in Jesus name.

Prayer point: O LORD, help me live a life of unbroken consecration in Jesus name.

Key Dose: If you want your life to be pleasing to God, and a delight then you must live a consecrated life.
